My Favourite Fall Recipes

Ooooh, even thinking about Fall recipes and I can feel the cozy-ness settling in!

The season is an absolute feast of the senses - and it’s a season of preparing ourselves for the what’’s to come. We gather, we give thanks, we insulate and protect because we know winter is around the corner. Nature shows us the way and making the most of the bountiful autumn harvest helps ensure we’re setting ourselves up for optimal strength and vitality.

From an Ayurvedic perspective, we know that like increases like and opposites bring balance. A simple way we can harmonize the effects of the season is through our food choices. We can opt for warming foods and herbs that keep our internal fires strong and nourish the body deeply. In contrast to all the fresh (and often raw) fruits and veggies of the summer + the warmth of the sun, you fall food choices will help set you up for a vibrant new year!

Here’s a few of my (and my family’s) favourites 😋

Easy Pumpkin Mac and Cheese

Ok, maybe not everyday 😆 but this is the iconic comfort food.

Change it up! Try different combinations of cheeses or add a dash of smoked paprika!

Balance it with a refreshing salad (opposite to balance), like this one ⬇️

Pomegranate & Pear Green Salad with GInger Dressing

I make this salad time and time again - and it’s ALWAYS a crowd pleaser!

The ginger dressing balances the bright, crisp and raw pears, apples and greens!

Roasted Brussel Sprouts with Crispy Baked Tofu and Honey Sesame Glaze

Make lots, because you will be craving it for days!

A lighter meal that boasts bold flavour and hearty veggies!

Coconut Curry Pumpkin Soup

Soups are ideal fall foods! All the comforts in a warm and hearty bowl!

And perfect on a busy day as a lunch on the go or a satisfying dinner!

From my kitchen (and the amazing recipe authors you’ll meet)....to yours,

🙏 Kim
